Stuck In Evansville

Hello Everyone!!

It has been an interesting end to a wonderful semester. I have finished finals but have no car to get home since I have a leak somewhere in my radiator. I also had my instrument stolen from the University right before a concert. That was an ordeal. It was taken after I put in my locker after my lesson. The man whole stole it just walked out with it on his back. He tried to sell it to the man who sold it to the University (not very smart). It has be returned it was just an interesting way to end the semester.
Now that my rant is over... I leave for England in less than a month. I am super excited but also very nervous about spending the semester abroad. I am getting to spend it with some friends, and travel to places that are going to be a once in a lifetime event. I just have to get ready and pack everything into TWO suitcase... (that scares me). But I have faith that I am going to have enough clothes and also bring a TON back.
I also need to thank my friends who have helped me this semester. First is my roommate Karrie Anne- Karrie, I am sooo glad that we had a wonderful semester. I am going to miss you next semester, but I'm also so excited to live with you agian. Next is Kayla-Kayla, You are the person that I go to when I need help. I know that you are going to be there for me no matter what my life throws at me. Also you are a wonderful person and I am going to miss you soo much next semester. Then there is Nick- Oh Nick, I don't know what my life would have been like if you weren't in it. I have loved watching all of the movies at crazy hours. Thanks for everything. Jessica- I can't forget you. I love all the time we spend together in rehearsals and living in Krannert together. Love and Roses dear :). To my new sisters of Phi Mu, I think that joining this wonderful chapter was the best choice that I have made. I love every single one of you. Thank you for all the support you have given me.
I guess all in all, I am ready to go to England but I don't want to leave my friends.

Almost to England

I can't believe that I leave for England in less than 2 months. It is very scary to think that I am leaving to spend a whole semester in England. I am very excited for this trip because it is a once in a life-time opportunity. Everything is almost in order for me to go to England. I get to go with some of my education friends as well as my sisters from Phi Mu. I also get to travel with my Nana. I can't wait for that. It is going to be a blast.
I have been swimming in activities this semester. I am always busy it seems like with one thing or another. Life is busy with work, greek activities, homework and hanging out with friends. I have some of the best friends in the world. They help me handle all the stress that comes with a busy life. My roommate this year is pretty awesome and I know I would not be so lighthearted about some things, if I didn't have Karrie around. I also have made new friends at church and it is so nice. I don't know what I would do if I didn't have Nick to vent to about school and life in general. Roommates are also good for keeping pets, Karrie and I bought a blue beta fish for our room.I think it is pretty amazing to have my own pet. So this is a shout-out to all my friends who have helped me this far into my semester. Love you all!!!

The Semester is HALFWAY (what halfway?!?!) Done

I can't believe the semester is halfway done. I am swamped in homework and projects, but I am having enjoying this semester. I recently went home for fall break and I got to see my family and my grandparents (9 people in a household is kinda crazy). I also got to see my little brother (who is not so little) march at a marching competition. It was so great to see him march, he did awesome and their show is awesome. I went to soccer games for my other two little brothers (who are also not so little). They both won their games, so that was plus. My best friend came home with me and we had a blast together. The best part of the break was going to my mom's classroom and playing the guitar and leading songs for the class. I missed pumpkin unloading (sad horrible day) but I hope the church's pumpkin patch goes well and we sell a lot of pumpkins. Phi Mu is keeping me busy. I have a date party tonight and we are going ice skating. I can't wait. Having a lot of sisters is is going to be wonderful for the next 2 years. We also have Big/Little week next week. I will get gifts for 5 days and on the last day I will find out who is my big is!!!!! It is going to be awesome. Well that is all for now enjoy these pictures!!!

A Busy Semester

This semester is going to be one heck of a ride. I am busy as all get out. I am taking 20.5 hours (which is a lot). I am in ensembles which is fun! I am learning to play trombone again (scary)... It is fun right now. I also have a job working on campus. The best part of the semester is spending time with my friends. It is also nice that Kayla and Jessica have their own house. We get to cook and eat real food now. I also like living with my roommate. We are having a blast in our zebra awesomeness. All of my teachers are wonderful and great. It is a small world I have decided, my orchestra conductor grew up in Norman, OK and is a huge OU fan just like me. My theory professor work in Las Cruces, NM where my grand parents live. It just a small world after all. I am ready for fall break to get here so I can watch my brother march and spend time with my family.

First Day

My first day was wonderful! I have GREAT teachers and wonderful classmates. This semester is going to be great. I am so glad that I am back on campus. I get to see my best friends. It seems as if we haven't missed a beat. We still laugh at the silliest things and make fun of each other (in a good way). I'm taking 19.5 hours this semester.. so i think I have my work cut out for me :) My roommate and I's room is pretty awesome. It is very homey and wonderful to go back to after a long day. The only thing wrong with our room is the coffee pot. It take 30 mins. to brew a pot of coffee and it doesn't make enough coffee for Karrie and I. Oh well, it is just something that I am going to learn..maybe it will get better. This is going to be a good year

Long Time No See

Hello Bloggers,

It has been a busy summer. I am currently back at college and starting classes tomorrow. Over the summer I went on a two week vacation to the west coast. Here are some of my favorite pictures

Since I work in my mom's school before my school starts, I get to know her class so they gave me a class pet to travel Evansville and Europe with me. So the adventures of Cici and Elizabeth are beginning now! I wish everyone the best of luck during the semester!

Happy Early Father's Day!!!

Tonight we celebrated Father's Day early since my three brothers are all going to be out of town on Sunday. We are watching the DiVinci Code (which is one of his gifts), and I must say it is very good. In a couple of weeks we are going to California, Utah, and Arizona so we have been working on our camper. It is looking great and I cannot wait for this trip! I also joined the feather club. I have a yellow and purple one in my hair. They are super cute and I really like them. I have also been going to a college group that meets on Wednesday nights. We had a "speed dating" game. We talked about our faith and how we tell other people about it. I enjoyed it and learned some things about my self. Another highlight of my day was going to my girls Bible study. We are reading the book Set Apart Femininity by Leslie Ludy. I really like the discussions that come along with our weekly meeting at Starbucks. This week had been great and I cant wait for the weeks to come!!

In memory of Haley

Today was a bittersweet day for one of my co-workers. I am wearing pink to honor my co-workers daughter. Haley Palmer lost her battle with Cystic Fibrosis on this day in 2008. Even thought I never got to meet her in person I hear wonderful stories about her from her mom Jenn. Haley has inspired me to do my best and to live my life to the fullest. She has touched so many people and will continue to give many people hope and inspiration. The Haley Palmer Foundation was founded in memory of Haley and it is going to do great things in the future. To the Palmer family, I know that Haley would be very proud of you and thing things that you are doing to end the CF

Lazzy Sunday

It is just another Lazy Sunday at the Usrey house. It is very nice to just watch tv and not worry about going places. I am currently watching the NY Yankees play. They are my favorite team. They are up 2-0 against the Indians. We also got a new pastor at church. He is wonderful and I really liked his sermon today. I think this is going to be a thing for pastor Kirk and St. Stephens. I hope your Sunday is just as great as mine.

Welcome

Hello,

I am doing this to practice for while I am traveling Europe for the Semester. I am excited that it is summer and I hope that the rest of the summer is just as amazing as it is right now. I live in a small town and I love my family. We are going to take a two week vacation to California in July and I can't wait. I will try to post pictures (granted I have internet). I hope your summer is going just as well as mine is.
